2. Description of the Related Art
Packing boxes and transportation methods are known, in which the packing boxes are transported to a folding station. After transportation of the packing boxes, the packing boxes are folded by the folding station. In addition, the packing boxes are closed by a wrapping machine. In this case, a packaging work station, which is arranged after the folding station and the wrapping station, is the location in which a packing and transportation is performed, in which the packaging work station has a supply station, a folding station, and a wrapping station. Packing boxes are transported via a conveyor belt to a supply station, in which the packing boxes are taken from the conveyor belt by a robot arm of the supply station.
A packing box of this type has the advantage of a high degree of flexibility with respect to the packing sequence. The packing boxes may be transported from the supply station to the wrapping station. In addition, the packing boxes may be transported from the supply station to the folding station.
However, there is a disadvantage in the known packing box that a robot arm of the supply station, which takes the packing boxes from the conveyor belt, is not able to reach the wrapping station. Thus, the packing boxes may be moved from the supply station to the folding station. However, the packing boxes must then be removed from the conveyor belt and must be turned in order to be transported to the wrapping station. This is not possible, since the robot arm of the supply station is not able to reach the wrapping station.
It is an object of the invention to provide a packing box, which has a higher flexibility in terms of the packing sequence.
